As a charity focused on education, we actively encourage children from around the world to get involved. Learn about how children in Cambodia are different to you, and how they are the same. Help us raise awareness, and maybe come up with a great fun way to raise money that will really make a difference to a child’s life.
Kids Helping Kids
You can make a difference to the lives of children in Cambodia. Get involved. Make it fun and help change someone’s life for the better. Check out the following short clip to learn more about Cambodia’s past, and the ways that other kids around the world are helping to make a change.
Start a club at your school to raise funds or awareness.
Hold an event for your friends to help raise money.
Start a Club at your School
First, get approval from your school’s administration to start a club. It is best to go prepared with information about CFC and to have a general plan on what you would like to do with your club and why this cause is important to you. Suggested tools to be prepared are the CFC smile box, Annual Report.
Once you get approval, you can either try to lead the club on your own or get a teacher to help run the club with you (this is how it is done at the Singapore American School).
There may be some start up costs or small expenditures along the way. For example, some clubs have chosen to have “club t-shirts”. You can either have your members pay for these or you can raise money to cover the cost. Other possible costs may be; posters, tablecloths for bake sales, donation boxes, prizes for contests/raffles, photography, etc. In many instances you can get these things donated.

Make a presentation at an assembly
Put up posters

Set up a table at a school event such as a fair, PTA event, or sporting event

Email us to update CFC on what you are planning to do to be sure your idea fits within the needs and mission of CFC.
Throughout the year be sure to take plenty of photos and email to us. You may see yourself on our Facebook page, newsletters or even in our annual report.
